Review: FINESCE at the POWER-Gen EUROPE 2015 & Renwable Energy World Europe 2015
FINESCE was present at the POWER-GEN EUROPE 2015 and the Renewable Energy World 2015 presenting the Smart Energy Platform for developing new energy applications and services.
FINESCE was present at the POWER-GEN Europe 2015 and Renewable Energy World Europe 2015, the largest and most extensive conference and exhibition for the European energy technology branch.These year’s main topics included flexible generation, smart energy systems, distributed generation, the changing role of utilities and urban energy integration.
FINESCE was present at the Renewable Energy World with its booth presenting the new European Smart Energy Platform providing opportunities for developing new applications and services in the energy sector. FINESCE’s seven trial sites, that were successfully implementedall over Europe, were presented to show the feasibility and the cost-efficiency of deploying FIWARE for Smart Energy applications. The implemented solutions and applications range from the integration of Smart Homes and electronic vehicles into the existing energy grids, to the creation of local energ ymarkets.

The platform will be developedfurther as part of a new research-industry initiative where companies can test new services and applications with real-life data from the FINESCE trial sites.Other objectives of the initiative are the development of hard- and software-standards.
The platform was visualized with a real-life tree – with the trial sites at the root of the tree, the FIWARE Generic Enablers at the trunk and the applications and services that have been successfully implemented as the ‘fruits’:
