Review: FINESCE Open Day Trial Site Malmö

The FINESCE Open Day at the Malmö Trial Site offered first hand insight into the development of a variety of Smart City appliacations as well as relevant information for entrepreneurs and start-ups regarding the possibilities of receiving support and participating in the FIWARE Accelerator Programme.

The FINESCEOpen Day in Malmö took place in Hyllie, the new smart district of Malmö. E.ON Sweden hosted the meeting and presented a variety of new Smart City applications and services that were implemented in commercial and residential buildings. The event attracted a lot of public attention and was well attended.

There were several workshops on specific issues. The FINESCEworkshop highlighted the benefits of implementing FIWARE in the trial architecture from different perspectives. The FIWARE accelerate program was presented by Adrian Ferrero from INCENSe announcing the next INCENSe open call with 150.000 Euro for each winning proposal. FINESCE trial site manager David Lillienberg from E.ON Sweden chaired the program and conducted an alive networking session with all participants of the workshop.

After the event, several tours were offered to visit smart buildings in Hyllie and see smart applications in action.

 

FINESCE organised six Open Days at the trial sites across Europe to offer interested parties an insight into what has been accomplished in FINESCE in the last one and a half years. The Open Day in Malmo was the last one.
